In my work, I explore the conflict that exists between the senses, perception and experience. A battle against the weight of existence.

The intention behind the subjects I explore is to depict the complexity within the perception of one’s self, by using imagery that shows scenes of intimacy, love, pain or eroticism amongst others.

In the modern world, voyeurism as a conduct is no longer considered a problematic indulgence. Questions are being asked as to how vulnerable we are because of this.

I work in several mediums, from drawing, painting, printmaking, to animation or even tattooing. My background in drawing and printmaking has enabled me to embrace a visual grammar with a sense of controlled erraticism. I use strong line work, almost in a calligraphic sense, to create the sensation of viewing images that are tremendously close to my inner world and therefore my very own intimate thoughts.

Creating a body of work dedicated to the contemporary art sphere, or producing pieces for commercial illustration are just some of my points of focus. At present I’m also engaged in the art of tattooing which I feel allows me to explore, in a very different yet meaningful way, a very particular side of intimacy. Tattooing has come a very long way in recent years when it comes to styles and techniques. In this medium I find that I am able to connect with other individuals, who allow me to use their skin as a canvas and endure a painful process to keep something I have produced for the rest of their lives. The nature of this practice becomes almost spiritual, in an exchange of absolute trust by the parties involved.
